This chapter concerns the role of pollinators, especially bees, in relation to our agriculture and economy. Besides being a critical participant reproductive process most flowering plants, bees’ pollination services increase crop yields, improve nutritional quality, contribute significantly global However, beekeepers that manage domesticated European honey bee had noticed huge numbers their bees were dying recent years, apiculture is closely wedded agriculture. Honey suffer from variety maladies attributed pesticides, climate change, parasites, disease, all which increased mortality catastrophic hive death such as Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD). A number these issues appear affect wild pollinators well. In order conserve protect pollinator resources, this describes major stressors lead offers suggestions ultimately general survival. Recommended actions for include adoption strains are bred specific climates survival traits well maintaining diverse forage around apiary. Farmers recommended maintain areas plants foraging sources, where healthy diet also aids pollination. food availability, control prices, support agricultural sustainability, governments can review ongoing research concerning known implement legislation guidelines human-created pesticides while encouraging pollinator-friendly land management.
